We are excited to let you know that the Special Olympics Vermont (SOVT) Penguin Plunge is back in person in 2022! The Penguin Plunge is an event where participants raise funds for SOVT and take a dip in icy Lake Champlain on March 12.
In the past eight years, the Winooski Spartans have raised over $70,000! The funds support programs that foster the inclusion and acceptance of people with disabilities through athletics. The funds directly support the Winooski Unified Sports program where athletes practice and compete in bowling and bocce.
We are hoping to have a record turnout after last year’s virtual event! Our team is open to Winooski students, staff, town residents, city employees, and local businesses.
