Dear Families,

Although this week was only 4 days, it was a fantastic, busy week. Students continued to learn routines and expectations in school. It is important that we take the beginning of school to teach all the students the expectations. This builds a strong foundation for a successful year.

Thrive and preschool started on Tuesday. During their first three days in preschool, the students already started to get the hang of school routines and expectations and had library time with Mr. Gile.

On Thursday, we had our CLiF kick-off event. It was a fantastic event, with all students in grades K-3 receiving a new book to take home. We had some families join us for the event, which was amazing. As our Year of The Book continues, we will continue to let families know about events, and inviting you to join us.

September 17th is our school-wide picture day. We will have a makeup day later on in the fall if your student misses pictures, or you do not like the pictures.

The week of September 17th, we will have our scholastic book fair. This is a great opportunity for our students to purchase books for reading at home.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Sara Raabe

JFK Principal
