Dear Families,
It is Fun Fair Day! The event happens in the cafeteria 4:30-6:30 pm. I am sure that tonight will go off without a hitch and be a fantastic event for everyone. A huge thank you to our PTO and teachers for making this an engaging event for everyone. Have fun and enjoy the evening!
I know that with the weather, spring feels very far away. However, we are already beginning to plan our Kindergarten Registration for the 2019-20 school year. If you have, or know someone with, a child that will be 5 by September 1, 2019 mark May 6th and 7th for Kindergarten registration. People should call the front office to sign up for a specific time for registration.
In addition to our traditional registration days, we will be doing an kindergarten orientation evening for families. On March 27th, 4:00 – 5:30 Carrie Macedonia from our pre school will be presenting to families about Kindergarten and JFK. The Kindergarten teachers, K-2 guidance counselor and I will be there to share information and answer any questions.
If spring feels far away, summer feels even further away. However, we are already planning that too! JFK Summer School will take place this year as follows:

- 8:00 – 12:00
- For students in grades K-5 for the 2019-20 school year
- July 15th – 18th
- Monday – Thursday
- 8:00 – 12:00

At Parent Teacher conferences in April, teachers will be talking to you about summer school sign up.
Our WSD Capital Project Facility Tours are continuing. Please join us for a tour of our PreK-12 facility so we can we can show you the many improvements and system replacements that are long overdue to provide a safe, healthy and modern learning environment for our students. The Winooski School Board will be pursuing a municipal bond this May to pay for vital renovations and improvements to our facility and plan for projected student enrollment growth. Tuesday, March 19th, the PTO will be doing a fundraiser at the Ninety Nine restaurant in Williston. If you eat at the Ninety Nine between 4:00 pm and 10:30 pm on the 19th, they will donate 15% of the proceeds to the WSD PTO. Our PTO does such a fantastic job supporting our students in so many ways.
