Dear Families,

It has been another busy, and cold, week at JFK! Please remember to dress your students for the weather. Students are arriving at school without coats some days. Remember that we go outside if the feels like temperature is at or above 10 degrees. Students should come to school every day dressed as if they have recess.

Tonight is the PTO Annual Family Disco. This is a fantastic family event that happens at school tonight 6-8pm. Students must be accompanied by an adult.

WSD started our facility tours on Wednesday, January 16th. The tours are meant to show community members  the many improvements and system replacements that are long overdue to provide a safe, healthy and modern learning environment for our students. Tours and a Community Breakfast dates are below:

  • Tour: Wednesday, January 16th at 6:30PM
  • Tour: Wednesday, January 23rd at 6:15PM
  • Community Breakfast & Tour: Saturday, January 26th at 9:00AM
  • Tour: Wednesday, January 30th at 6:15PM
  • Tour: Friday, February 1st at 6:15PM

The Winooski School Board will be pursuing a municipal bond this May to pay for vital renovations and improvements to our facility and plan for projected student enrollment growth. For more info about the project please see:

This morning WOKO came to our All School Morning Meeting to talk to students about the Big Change Roundup contest. The students were recorded cheering to be played on the radio, and two of our students were interviewed! After the first week, here are the fundraising standings:
