Dear Families,
Everyone is back, and school is in full swing again. The winter weather is here with yesterday being a very cold day. The rule at JFK is that students go outside for recess unless the feels like temperature is 10 degrees or below. Please send your students to school dressed to go outside.
We are incredibly fortunate to have an active PTO. The PTO works to support all the students district wide. It is vital that our families are involved in their children’s school and school experiences. The WSD PTO is a great way to get involved and support your student. The PTO meets the third Wednesday of each month, 5:30 – 7:30pm in the Library. If you haven’t attended a meeting yet, I highly encourage you to go and check it out.
One of the events that the PTO supports is the annual Family Disco. Next Friday, 6-8pm, the cafeteria is turned into a disco. All of our families and students are invited to come and dance and have fun for a few hours. Admission is free, and refreshments will be available for purchase. All students that attend must be accompanied by an adult. It is highly encouraged that you and your family get in the spirit and wear disco costumes! We hope to see everyone there.
