Dear Families,

It  has been another wonderful week of learning at JFK Elementary. Our second graders are learning all about sound with a focus on music. Students are building their own instruments to learn about how sound is created. Our 5th graders are doing science experiments about chemical versus physical changes. Fresh milk and vinegar was involved!

Last week, Coach B was dressed as a unicorn for the day. If you do not follow our JFK Facebook page, please go and take a look. There are great pictures on there all the time, especially of the unicorn day!

Last week we had a snow day. WHS Graduation will remain on Saturday, June 15th.  Right now, assuming no more school closures, our final student day would be Thursday, June 20th. Of course, we still have 6 weeks of winter, and have no guarantee that there will not be additional snow days that we will need to make up in June. Once spring arrives, the school board will work with Sean to officially decide the last student day for this school year.

Next week is our winter vacation. School is closed Monday,  February 25th – Monday, March 4th. Students return to school at 8am on Tuesday, March 5th.

Have a great vacation!

Sara Raabe, JFK Principal
